Warren Fahey, long ago of Larrikin Records, and now involved with collating the history of Australian folk music and folk performers is looking for help as follows:-
I am currently collecting images of bush bands and bush musicians. Photographs, drawings, cartoons etc. I am after known and unknown bands. These can be 'posed' shots or even photographs taken at clubs, festivals, bbqs etc. A short description, including the band's name, would be appreciated. Please include the photographer's name if known. The information will be used to show the evolution of the bush band including costume, instrumentation, names, repertoire etc.
Please forward them as scans directly to wfahey@bigpond.net.au and they will be included in the Australian Folklore Unit story on my site www.warrenfahey.com
