Passing of Gary Shearston

I am currently attending the Latvian XXV National Song Festival and have just received advice from the National Folk Festival that Gary Shearston has died. A sad day for all Australian Folk Music fans.

    Not just sad for Folk music fans. Music & in particular, Australian music fans. The lack of attention in the general media, compared to some of the Crud that gets published or b/cast is most disappointing.
    He will feature on "Folking Around" Radio Fremantle 107.9fm next Mon. night. 8/7/13.
